HSC (NSW)
The Higher School Certificate is overseen by NESA, the NSW Education Standards Authority. Students are assessed across their chosen subjects throughout Year 11 and Year 12, with Year 12 results contributing to the ATAR used for university admission.
VCE (Victoria)
The Victorian Certificate of Education is overseen by VCAA, the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority. It combines school-based assessment with final exams across a student's chosen subjects, feeding into the VCE study score and, ultimately, the ATAR.
QCE (Queensland)
The Queensland Certificate of Education is overseen by QCAA, the Queensland Curriculum and Assessment Authority. It combines internal school assessment with external exams, with both contributing to a student's QCE and ATAR.
